“When Will Ayumu Make His Move?”: Disc dates and extras for all volumes known
Polyband anime actually wanted to release the RomCom anime When Will Ayumu Make His Move? at the end of September. begin. However, there is another postponement, and the anime label has now announced the final details about all volumes and their extras. Pre-orders are now available on Amazon .
The first volume of When Will Ayumu Make His Move? will therefore only be released as a digipak in a collector's slipcase on DVD and Blu-ray on October 27, 2023 . This includes the first four episodes with German and Japanese voice acting. An art card set is also available as an extra.
Two months later, probably on December 15, 2023 , the second volume will follow with episodes 5 to 8 and an iron-on patch as an extra. The final third volume with episodes 9 to 12 will go on sale on February 23, 2024 and will also include an iron-on patch.
Based on Sōichirō Yamamoto's manga series of the same name , When Will Ayumu Make His Move? at the SILVER LINK studio directed by Mirai Minato. The twelve-part series ran from July to September 2022 on Japanese TV and in simulcast on HIDIVE and AKIBA PASS TV . Sōichirō Yamamoto launched his original manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2019. The series is not yet available in German-speaking countries.

Yaotome is the cute chairwoman of her school's shogi (Japanese chess) club and is pretty sure that her classmate Ayumu, the only other member, has a crush on her. They meet every day after school to play shogi, but no matter what she does, she can't convince him to confess his feelings! What she doesn't know is that Ayumu made a pact with himself to reveal his love after defeating Yaotome in shogi for the first time. But there's one big problem with this plan… it really sucks!
