MIUI hides all kinds of options and features. Xiaomi not only allows us to customize the interface of its smartphones or add a fill light for our video calls , but also delete and reset certain elements of the system so that everything works like the first day .
You have probably all experienced how, with the passage of time, the interface of our Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO and in general, the entire system becomes somewhat slower , especially when navigating between applications or entering and exiting the main screen of the app. MIUI.
In general , this slowness is given by the MIUI launcher itself , becoming slower and slower over time. In addition, changing the wallpaper or simply moving applications from one place to another gradually makes it feel not as fluid as before.
Every week I restart the MIUI launcher to improve the fluidity of my Xiaomi
After years of using Xiaomi phones, I have realized that the element that most detracts from the user experience, resulting in a less fluid interface , is the system launcher itself. Fortunately this can be reset, something I do practically every week by following these steps :
- Go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications
- Once inside we look for System Launcher
- After that, click at the bottom on Clear data and then on Clear cache
Do not expect a drastic change in the performance of your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO , but rather a better user experience, especially over time. Doing this process every week or two will definitely improve flow.
If after clearing the cache of the application launcher your Xiaomi does not run smoother again, we recommend deleting all the data from the launcher. Of course, by deleting all the data we will lose the order of the applications on the desktop, as well as any other customization that we have made. I usually do this process approximately every month and in this way I give my Xiaomi desktop a new look, either with a new background or a new combination of icons.
