Surprising surprises
Bandai Namco is once again strongly represented at the fair this year. While they announced most of their line-up in advance, they also hinted that there will be another surprise at the show. That surprise could be Little Nightmares 3 . The game planned for 2024 will offer a co-op mode for the first time and impresses with a fantastic look. And if that wasn't enough, you can already listen to the first chapter of the new radio play The Sound of Nightmares on the Bandai Namco YouTube channel .

Pearl Abyss, the developers of the MMORPG Black Desert Online , announced new games some time ago. In the meantime it had become quite quiet around these games. At least for one of the two titles, this silence has now come to an end. The game world of Crimson Desert shows clear similarities to that of Black Desert Online . The gameplay, on the other hand, seems to be a wild mix of Assassin's Creed and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom . This thoroughly successful mix gives the game its very own charm and should definitely be kept in mind by all fans of open-world games.

To promote Netflix's upcoming Rebel Moon franchise, the films' creator, Zack Snyder, was asked to take the stage. He originally wrote the screenplay for a Star Wars film. However, when this was not realized, Snyder decided to create a completely separate story from it. With big plans for the brand, he spontaneously announced a Rebel Moon video game on stage. However, details on the platform and release date of the game remained open. The first two films in the franchise are slated for release on Netflix on December 22, 2023 and April 19, 2024 .

The last game on our list may look rather modest graphically, but it promises all the more. Ara: History Untold seems like a spiritual successor to 20-year-old Empire Earth . Here the player starts from scratch and gradually builds up a civilization. What initially sounds like a classic settler scenario develops over time into a modern setting with skyscrapers, football stadiums and landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty. The game is expected to be available on Xbox Game Pass in 2024 .
