A few days ago we anticipated the arrival of the Redmi 12 , a smartphone that, although it has not yet been presented, has been practically completely filtered , predicting that Xiaomi will become the new king of cheap smartphones.

The Redmi 12 has appeared on the official Xiaomi website for Portugal , revealing not only its design and a large part of its features, but also its launch price. That yes, it does not seem to be so cheap , although its price for Spain could change (the device was deleted from the Web shortly after although a screenshot of it could be saved).

As we can see under these lines, the Redmi 12 has appeared on the official Xiaomi website for Portugal, revealing a design practically on par with the rest of the Redmi Note 12 Series . In general terms, its appearance is quite modern , incorporating a set of three cameras presided over by a 50MP sensor.

Inside, the Redmi 12 will use a MediaTek Helio G88 , combined with 4 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of internal storage. To this is added an FHD + screen (it is unknown if it is of the AMOLED type) capable of reaching 90Hz in a size of 6.79 inches.

Unfortunately its price does not seem to match. Although the Redmi 10 debuted for about 165 euros, this new Redmi 12 only practically renews its design , becoming more expensive until its price rises to 209.99 euros .

It will be necessary to see if after its official launch Xiaomi lowers its price or presents it together with some type of promotional discount . With this we could be facing a smartphone that could once again become the king of cheap mobile phones.
