"I'm in Love with the Villainess": New Trailer Reveals Launch Period

An anime adaptation of the light novel I'm in Love with the Villainess (Jap. Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou , Wataoshi for short) was announced at the end of last year. Fans of the Yuri story can finally look forward to news. A new trailer and a new visual can be found below this article.

Based on the new trailer and visual, I'm in Love with the Villainess will air on Japanese TV from October 2023 . Details on a possible simulcast in German-speaking countries are still pending.

I'm in Love with the Villainess is produced by Studio Platinum Vision and directed by Hideaki Oba. Character design is by Youko Satou, and Noriyuki Asakura is composing the music. The two female leads are cast with Yu Serizawa as Rei Ohashi/Rae Taylor and Karin Nanami as Claire François.

The anime is based on the light novel of the same name by Inori and illustrator Hanagata, which was published by Ichijinsha in Japan from 2019 to 2021 and is considered completed with five volumes. A manga adaptation penned by Anoshimo has so far included five volumes, which Manga Cult has published in German in this country.

This is what I'm in Love with the Villainess is about:

The humble office worker Rei Ohashi wakes up in the body of the protagonist of her favorite otome game Revolution . Much to her delight, the first character to greet her is also her all-time favorite Claire François – the main antagonist of the story! From now on, Rei is anxious to start a relationship with Claire instead of the game's male protagonists. But how will her mischievous love interest react to being courted?!
