Sony has announced the release date for the next generation of its virtual reality headset. In addition to the exact release date, the price for the PS VR2 has also been confirmed. As expected, it will be more expensive than the previous model, but other fears are not confirmed.

The PS VR2 is scheduled to hit the market on February 22, 2023. The price in Germany is 599.99 euros (RRP). Pre-orders will start on November 15th and are initially only available by invitation only, which can be registered for now ondirect.playstation.com .

The PS VR2 comes with stereo headphones

In addition to the VR glasses, the scope of delivery will also include the VR2 Sense controller. Stereo headphones are also included. This does not confirm fears that users would have to purchase them separately.

The PS VR2 can only be used with a PlayStation 5. This is not included in the delivery. Having recently increased its price, it currently costs €449.99 in the Digital Edition or €549.99 with the Ultra HD Blu-ray drive.
