»When Will Ayumu Make His Move?« is published by polyband anime on disc

polyband anime appears to have licensed the 12-part rom-com series When Will Ayumu Make His Move? secured, which was originally planned by peppermint anime ( we reported ). This became known through a report in the latest issue of AnimaniA (03/2023).

When Will Ayumu Make His Move? is expected to be released on DVD and Blu-ray by polyband anime with German and Japanese voice overs from August 25, 2023 . Further details on the planned disc release are still pending and will follow at a later date. As soon as further information is available, we will report on it.

Based on Sōichirō Yamamoto's manga series of the same name , When Will Ayumu Make His Move? at the studio SILVER LINK directed by Mirai Minato. The screenplay was penned by Deko Akao, while Kazuya Hirata contributed the character designs. The 12-part series ran on Japanese TV and simulcast on HIDIVE and AKIBA PASS TV from July to September 2022.

Sōichirō Yamamoto launched his original manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2019. The series consists of 14 volumes so far. The series is not yet available in German-speaking countries.

What is When Will Ayumu Make His Move about? :

Yaotome is the cute chairwoman of her school's shogi (Japanese chess) club and is pretty sure her classmate Ayumu, the only other member, has a crush on her. They meet up every day after school to play shogi, but no matter what she does, she can't get him to admit his feelings! What she doesn't know is that Ayumu made a pact with himself to reveal his love after defeating Yaotome in shogi for the first time. But there's a big problem with this plan… it really sucks!
