To celebrate the 20th anniversary, »Naruto« is getting four new episodes

The anime adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto turned 20 last October. To celebrate this anniversary, there is good news for all fans of the shōnen classic.

As recently announced, Naruto will be getting four completely new episodes in September 2023 . Before that, selected episodes of the old anime series with new animations are to be broadcast on Japanese TV in June. There will be more details on this soon.

Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga series was published by Shueisha in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1999 to 2014. The series comprises 72 anthologies as well as a new edition as a massive edition in 24 volumes, which is available in German from Carlsen Manga.

The anime adaptation includes a total of 220 episodes and ran from October 2003 to February 2007. Naruto Shippuden then started as a sequel, which adapted the rest of the manga with 500 episodes. The current successor series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has been running since April 2017 and will be completed on March 26, 2023 with episode 293 for the time being. This ends “Part I” of the adaptation before it returns at a later date with “Part II”.

Both series are available on Crunchyroll and are available on DVD and Blu-ray from KSM Anime.
