
Netflix secures streaming rights to My Happy Marriage

It has been known for about a year that Akumi Agitogi's light novel My Happy Marriage (Jap. Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon ) will be adapted as an anime. Before the drama anime starts on Japanese TV this July, Netflix recently announced that it would license the exclusive streaming rights.
According to the announcement, Netflix will offer the anime My Happy Marriage exclusively on demand worldwide later in 2023 .
The Kinema citrus studio is responsible for the anime adaptation, which is being directed by Takehiro Kubota. Ami Satō, Takahito Onishi and Momoka Toyoda are writing the script, while Shōko Yasuda is doing character design. American composer Evan Call is contributing the music to the series. It will be broadcast in Japan from July 2023.
My Happy Marriage is based on the original light novel by Akumi Agitogi with illustrations by Tsukiho Tsukioka. The series has been available in Japanese stores since January 2019 with six volumes to date. Rito Kohsaka's manga adaptation comprises four volumes to date, which is published in Germany by altraverse under the title My very special wedding .
