
»Suzume«: Second OmU trailer for Makoto Shinkai's new anime film

Last week, director Makoto Shinkai's Suzume celebrated its international premiere at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale 2023). Before the new anime hit hits local movie theaters from April, Crunchyroll recently released a second German OmU trailer (see below).
Suzume will be released in cinemas worldwide on April 12, 2023 and will be distributed internationally outside of Asia by Crunchyroll together with Wild Bunch International, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Eurozoom.

Makoto Shinkai penned the script and idea for Suzume , while Masayoshi Tanaka was in charge of character design and Kenichi Tsuchiya served as animation director. The studio CoMix Wave Films produced the film in cooperation with Story Inc.
Shinkai's new anime film premiered in Japan on November 11, 2022 and has so far grossed 13.93 billion yen (around EUR 96.7 million) at the Japanese box office. The international premiere outside of Asia took place on February 23, 2023 at the Berlinale 2023.

This is what Suzume no Tojimari is about :
The story follows Suzume, a 17-year-old girl from a quiet town in Kyushu, who meets a young man who is looking for a door. You will find a door in the ruins of a mountain that Suzume will open. Soon more doors will open across Japan, harboring disasters from the other side.
