»Uncle From Another World«: Date of the final episode is fixed

February 20, 2023

Uncle from Another World was ill-fated. The episodes had to be postponed again and again due to Corona. Many are now eagerly awaiting the conclusion with the last episode. An entry via Twitter has now put an end to the wait.

It has now been announced that the final 13th episode of Uncle From Another World will be broadcast on Japanese television on March 8th, 2023 . Netflix started simulcasting the original Japanese version with multilingual subtitles on July 20, 2022. Only seven episodes are currently available there. It is not yet known when a German soundtrack will be submitted or when the remaining episodes will follow.

The main reason for the shifts is the spread of Corona in Chin, from where you get your video material. In order to maintain the quality of the series, it was decided to postpone the episodes.

Uncle From Another World is being directed by Shigeki Kawai at Studio Atelier Pontdarc and celebrated its TV premiere in Japan on July 6, 2022.

The comedy Isekai anime is based on Hotondo Shindeiru's manga series of the same name, which has been published in Japan since June 2018 with seven volumes so far. The series is not available in this country.

This is what Uncle From Another World is about :

Seventeen years ago, Takafumi's uncle fell into a coma, but now he's back, like a man who's risen from the grave. Soon, Takafumi discovers two bizarre things: his uncle adores video games, and while he was in a coma, he actually awoke as a heroic guardian in another world! Now Takafumi must not only live with an uncle who is literally magical, he must also enlighten him over two decades of history – smartphones, fast internet, modern day anime tropes… and the traumatic outcome of the console wars in the '90s!
