German trailer for »Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon« released

Crunchyroll is beginning the home video release of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon on DVD and Blu-ray next week. Appropriately, the Berlin-based anime label released a German trailer today, which you can watch below.

Crunchyroll will release Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Volume 1 on DVD and Blu-ray on February 23, 2023 . This includes the first six episodes with German and Japanese voiceovers as well as a slipcase, a poster and a booklet as extras.

The second volume, which includes a booklet as an extra, will be available on March 23, 2023 , followed by the third volume on April 20, 2023 . The 24-part first season is expected to conclude with the fourth volume on May 19, 2023 . Pre-orders via Amazon are now possible.

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon (Japanese Han'you no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogizoushi ) is an anime original and the sequel to the cult anime InuYasha , directed by Teruo Sato at SUNRISE studio.

The 24-episode first season aired in Japan between October 2020 and March 2021, while a second season also consisting of 24 episodes ran on TV from October 2021 to March 2022. In this country, Crunchyroll offers all episodes of the first and second seasons in the OmU version on demand.

WHAT IS Yashahime ABOUT :

The series revolves around the daughters of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. In feudal Japan, the half-demon sisters Towa and Setsuna are separated by a forest fire. While searching for her sister, Towa finds herself in a tunnel that transports her to present-day Japan, where she meets Kagome Higurashi's brother, Sota. Ten years later, the tunnel reopens, finally allowing Towa to see Setsuna again – but now she's a demon hunter in Kohaku's service and has lost all her memories!
