It's been a while, but the awaited sequel to the steamy fantasy comedy anime Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time is coming to disc soon! AniMoon Publishing today announced the licensing of the twelve-part second season, which will be available from summer 2023.

AniMoon is releasing the second season entitled Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time: Super Extra in a total of three volumes as a Limited Mediabook Edition on DVD and Blu-ray. The first volume, which includes the first episodes with German and Japanese voiceovers, is currently scheduled to be released in August 2023 . The second volume will then follow in September and the final third volume in October 2023. Pre-orders are now possible in the AniMoon online shop .

In addition to the studio, Wolfsbane was the second studio involved in the production of the second season of Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time Seven. Takashi Aoshima once again wrote the script and Shunsuke Tada returned to direct the sequel. In Japan, the sequel celebrated its TV premiere between October and December 2022.

Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time is based on the manga series of the same name by author Daisuke Hiyama, which started in Japan in July 2017. Futabasha Publishing House is currently publishing eleven volumes in Japan. In Germany, the series is published in German by the manga label Hayabusa of Carlsen Verlag.
