Anime adaptation of Eku Takeshima's manga Whisper Me a Love Song announced

Fans of the Yuri manga Whisper Me a Love Song (jap. Sasayaku You ni Koi o Utau ) can rejoice! An anime adaptation of Eku Takeshima's work was recently announced. The announcement was celebrated on Twitter with a first visual by character designer Minami Yoshida and an illustration by mangaka Eku Takeshima (see below)
Whisper Me a Love Song is being produced at Studio Cloud Hearts under the direction of Xin Ya Cai, who is directing for the first time. He is joined by Hiroki Uchida as the screenwriter and the aforementioned Minami Yoshida as the character designer. A date for the Japanese TV premiere is still pending.
The two main roles are taken on by Hana Shimano, who lends her voice to Himari Kino, and Asami Seto, who embodies her adored Yori Asanagi. This is Shimano's first starring role, while Asami Seto has voiced many well-known characters (Sakurajima Mai from Bunny Girl Senpai ).
Whisper Me a Love Song is based on the manga series of the same name by Eku Takeshima, which has been published in Japan by Ichijinsha since February 2019 and comprises seven volumes to date. In this country, TOKYOPOP publishes the Yuri manga under the title Whisper me a love song (order here from Amazon).
