German OmU trailer for »Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island«

As early as November we reported on the first films that will be shown in German cinemas as part of Crunchyroll Anime Night 2023. Among other things, Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island celebrates its German premiere, and a German OmU trailer has now been released (see below).

The latest film from the Mecha universe Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island will be released in numerous cinemas in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on February 28, 2023 . This is shown either in the original Japanese version with German subtitles or with German dubbing. Advance ticket sales have already started.

Cucuruz Doan's Island is based on the 15th episode of the TV series Mobile Suit Gundam and is produced by Studio SUNRISE and directed by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko. The theatrical premiere took place on June 3, 2022 in Japan. In just two days, the movie grossed over 300 million YEN (≈ 2.1 million EUR).

WHAT IS Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island ABOUT :

Synopsis: The year is Universal Century 0079. Cadet Amuro Ray fights in the cockpit of the snow-white Mobile Suit Gundam in the war of independence between the colonies of the Principality of Zeon and the Earth Federation. After successfully defending Jaburo, the Federation plans another offensive against Zeon's invasion headquarters in Odessa. Ray Amuro and his team are en route to Belfast when they receive a new assignment. They are to travel to the "Island of no Return" to intercept the Zeon's stragglers there. Instead of enemy spies, however, Amuro only finds a small group of children and a Zaku Mobile Suite. He also meets a strange man who calls himself Cucuruz Doan. His presence is closely intertwined with the secret the island hides, and when Amuro finds out about him, his life is in danger.
