The Redmi 12C is here: Xiaomi's new bet for the cheapest segment
Xiaomi has just renewed its cheapest smartphone. Just a few hours ago, the firm presented its new Redmi 12C, a terminal located in the entry-level range, equipped with everything necessary for those who are looking for a simple smartphone for day to day.
The new Redmi 12C has been presented in China, and it is most likely that in a few weeks we will see its debut in the Global market . Of course, it is most likely that it will do so under another name or even as a device under the POCO brand.
Redmi 12C, features and price
In detail, the new Redmi 12C brings with it a not very innovative design, staying in the same line as other devices of the brand. On its front we find a 6.71-inch IPS LCD screen (720P at 120Hz), while on the back there are two cameras, one 50MP and the other 2MP , as well as a fingerprint sensor.
Inside, the Redmi 12C stands out for having a MediaTek Helio G85, LPDDR4x RAM memory and eMMC 5.1 type storage. To this is added a large 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging and a microSD slot.
Beyond this, this new economic bet from Xiaomi is characterized by having a microUSB port (it should have incorporated a USB C by now), Bluetooth 5.1 and MIUI 13 based on Android 12 as a system.
As for price, the Redmi 12C debuts from 699 yuan, about 94 euros to change . Hopefully this price will be maintained after its arrival on the Global market, since if not, it will probably not be very well received.
