Third season of »Demon Slayer« has a start date & new teaser

Now we have more details on the upcoming third season of Demon Slayer ! During a live stream event, among other things, a start period for the sequel was revealed. You can find a new teaser below.

The third season, which covers the Swordsmith Village arc (Jap. Katanakaji no Sato-Hen ), will therefore start in April 2023 with an hour-long episode in Japan. But before that, the prelude to the sequel, along with the tenth and eleventh episodes of the Entertainment District arc, is scheduled to hit Japanese cinemas on February 3, 2023 in a 4K version.

In addition, the special theatrical version entitled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- will be seen as a world tour in over 80 countries. Crunchyroll has already confirmed that the premiere in Germany will take place on February 26, 2022 in Berlin. Film producer Yuma Takahashi will be the guest of honor.

The adaptation of the Swordsmith Village arc is being made again at studio ufotable and directed by Haruo Sotozaki. In addition, all of the previous voice actors from the first two seasons are returning.

peppermint anime has already released the 26-part first season and the sequel film with German and Japanese voiceovers on DVD and Blu-ray . The first and second seasons are available on Crunchyroll and Wakanim in the original subtitles.

This is what Demon Slayer is about:

Man-eating demons are up to mischief in the nearby forest. The local residents no longer dare to go out at night. Legend has it that one day a demon slayer will come to hunt down and kill these bloodthirsty demons. This soon becomes a reality for young Tanjirou, who has made it his mission to provide for his family since the death of his father. Tanjirou's life changes completely when his entire family is slaughtered. Although his sister Nezuko survived, she turned into a demon. Tanjirou begins fighting evil and for the life of his sister Nezuko.
