MIUI 14 minimum requirements

Among the different novelties that MIUI 14 offers us, we find the possibility of copying and translating text present in the images stored in the Gallery application . This novelty does not require excessively advanced hardware, although it is true that it will only be present in those devices that have a Qualcomm SoC 7, Qualcomm SoC 8 or higher processor, as well as in the MediaTek Helio G80 or higher (a functionality of MIUI 14 that we can use in the POCO F3 and POCO X3 Pro ).

But it does not finish here. Photonic Engine , the new MIUI 14 application management system that allows us to speed up the use of third-party applications, as well as reduce their energy consumption , will only work on those models that have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

In addition, MIUI 14 was presented along with an important novelty; the ability to remove virtually any pre-installed application . The reality of this is that this functionality will only be present, at least for the moment, in all those devices launched after October 2022. That is, for now only in the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro .

Even so, it should be noted that these minimum requirements could vary as MIUI 14 begins its official rollout . Everything will depend, to a certain extent, on the level of exclusivity that Xiaomi wants to give its devices.
