In April this year, a second season of the popular anime In Another World with My Smartphone ( Isekai Smartphone for short) was announced. A first teaser visual followed in July, after which it remained silent for a long time. This has changed now!

A new visual and a first trailer were recently released on the anime's official Twitter page. Both can be found below in the article. This is accompanied by the announcement that the second season of Isekai Smartphone will be broadcast on Japanese TV from April 2023 .

The second season of In Another World with My Smartphone is not being produced at Studio Production Reed and directed by Yūji Nanase like season one, but under the direction of director Yoshiaki Iwasaki at Studio JC Staff. Chinatsu Kameyama contributes to the character design.

The twelve-episode first season of the anime is available on Crunchyroll in the original Japanese with German subtitles. A German dubbing is also offered.

Isekai Smartphone is based on the light novel series of the same name by Patora Fuyuhara, which has been published by HJ Novels since 2015. The novel was previously published on Shōsetsuka ni Narō . So far, 27 volumes of the novel have been published in Japan. In the West, J-Novel Club has secured the rights to publish the light novel and has already released 26 volumes digitally and 24 in print. The novel is not yet available in German.

After dying by God's mistake, Mochizuki Touya finds himself in a new world. There he begins his second life. The only thing he owns is the body that God gave back to him and his smartphone, which also works in this new world.
