The launch date for the Xiaomi 13 series is apparently set: the smartphones are to be unveiled on December 1st along with a new smartwatch and wireless in-ear headphones. The smartphone series is slimmer this year.
Last year Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 12, the Xiaomi 12X and the Xiaomi 12 Pro. However, it looks like there will be no successor to the 12X in 2022. According to Gizmochina , the Chinese manufacturer will unveil the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro on December 1st. The design will be the same for both smartphone models, the Pro version will only be larger.
Xiaomi 13: design and expected specs
The manufacturer himself has already revealed that the Xiaomi 13 series will have super-slim display edges. At the bottom, the edge should measure just 1.61 mm. Render images also show the upcoming smartphone in a large selection of colors – each with a color-contrasted camera module on the back. Some versions suggest that the Xiaomi 13 will also appear in a variant with a leather texture on the back.

Inside the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro is supposed to be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which according to Geekbench tests is supported by 12 GB of RAM. The display of the Xiaomi 13 should measure 6.2 inches, offer a 2K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The main camera probably comes from Sony and has a resolution of 50 megapixels, and 120-watt fast charging should also be supported. The Xiaomi 13 will probably appear directly with Android 13 on board – with the upcoming version of Xiaomi's user interface MIUI.
Unveiling of MIUI 14, Xiaomi Watch S2 and Xiaomi Buds 4
MIUI 14 could premiere together with the Xiaomi 13 series on December 1st. The Xiaomi Watch S2 and the Xiaomi Buds 4 headphones are also to be unveiled on this day. In China there is already the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro, which cost the equivalent of around 150 euros. The Buds 4 could appear as a cheaper alternative to the premium version. There is no further information about the headphones or the smartwatch so far.
