Anime shredding in feudal Japan – This is »Samurai Maiden«

At the beginning of August, the Japanese developer studio SHADE inc. her new sword fighting adventure with Samurai Maiden . Now they presented about ten minutes of gameplay from their new anime game.
Along with space horror, feudal Japan seems to be one of the most popular themes in the gaming world right now. Ghost of Tsushima , Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice or Trek to Yomi have been very successful and other games like Yakuza Like a Dragon: Ishin or Rise of the Ronin await us soon.
With Samurai Maiden , the developers at SHADE inc. also cast into feudal Japan. Graphically, a cute anime look awaits us here. You play the young girl Tsumugi Tamaori, thrown straight from our present into Sengoku-era Japan. Now you slaughter your way through hordes of creatures from Japanese mythology. For example, you can expect flying skulls, skeletons or the slimy creatures known as Umi-Bozu.
You don't fight alone. You get support from three companions named Iyo, Hagane and Komimi. Depending on your affection, you can enter into friendly but also romantic relationships with them.
The trailer also reveals that the story appears to be divided into different story chapters, at the end of which you get a rating for your time, enemies defeated and treasures collected.
Those interested can buy Samurai Maiden from December 8, 2022, when the game will be released for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Nintendo Switch. Publisher is D3PUBLISHER.

In Samurai Maiden you play as Tsumugi Tamaori, a 21st century girl who suddenly finds herself in Sengoku period Japan. The unwanted time travel isn't the only weird thing worrying you. Masses of demons want Tsumugi by their collars. But she knows how to defend herself and how to use her razor-sharp katana. Together with Iyo, Hagane and Komimi you fight your way through the underworld below Honno-ji – with the aim of bringing down the demon king.
