PlayStation Stars loyalty program launches today in Europe

Starting today, PlayStation 's brand new free loyalty program is available in Europe. The program is called PlayStation Stars and offers exciting campaigns and rewards exclusively for PlayStation users.
With PlayStation Stars , you earn online perks and digital rewards by completing various campaigns and activities. You either play any game on one of the PlayStation consoles, reach certain milestones set by the PlayStation community, or purchase games from the PlayStation Store . The tasks and bonuses are updated regularly.
The rewards you can earn are divided into two categories: Loyalty Points and Digital Collectibles.
You can redeem loyalty points in a catalog and choose, for example, whether you want to receive PSN credit, exclusive digital collectibles or selected PlayStation Store products. Your current points balance can be viewed at any time in the PlayStation app or in the PlayStation Stars points history. If you're a PlayStation Plus member, you'll also earn loyalty points with PlayStation Store purchases.
You can display the digital collectibles in your PlayStation app in a virtual showcase so that other users can view them if they wish.
There are four status levels in total in PlayStation Stars – the level depends on the number of Rare Trophies you've earned while playing. You can also increase your level by purchasing full versions from the PlayStation Store . Your status level is always maintained until the end of the current calendar year and then for 13 more months.
Participation in PlayStation Stars is free, all that is required is an adult account on PlayStation Network . PlayStation Plus members receive some benefits, but membership is not required to participate in the loyalty program.
