Peppermint animeannounced some time ago that it would release the anime film Fortune favors Lady Nikuko on Blu-ray in this country. Meanwhile, the Munich-based anime label revealed more details about the home video release. The film was originally supposed to be screened as part of this year's AKIBA PASS Festival, but it was cancelled.

According to an entry in the AKIBA PASS shop , the Blu-ray release of Fortune favors Lady Nikuko is scheduled for December 1, 2022 . Pre-orders are already possible in the online shop, where the first 250 orders will also receive a transparent film (DIN A5) as a free goodie.

The anime adaptation of the light novel of the same name by author Kanako Nishi was produced at Studio 4°C and directed by Sanma Akashiya. Satomi Ooshima contributed the script, and Kenichi Konishi served as character designer and chief animation director.

On June 11, 2021, Fortune Favores Lady Nikuko premiered in competition at the Scotland Loves Animation Film Festival in Japan, where it won the Golden Partridge Jury Prize. Studio 4°C's new anime film celebrated its German premiere at AnimagiC 2022.
