Isekai anime »Arifureta« is coming back with a third season soon

The twelve-part second season of Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest only aired on Japanese television last winter. On the occasion of the preview of the new OVA episode in Japan, it was surprisingly announced that the anime adaptation of Ryo Shirakome's light novel series will soon be getting a third season.

Before the new Arifureta OVA appears at the end of September together with the 13th volume of the light novel, it recently celebrated its premiere. During this event, a third season was announced with a trailer and the first visual (see below).

Studio Asread is again responsible for the sequel, which is being directed by Akira Iwanaga. Shoichi Sato returns as screenwriter, while Chika Kojima returns to do character design. Further details, such as an exact start date for the third season, are not yet available.

Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest is based on the light novel of the same name by author Ryo Shirakome and illustrator Takayaki. The anime adaptation currently consists of two seasons that aired in the Summer 2019 season and the Winter 2022 season.

In this country, AniMoon Publishing released the 13-part first season with German and Japanese voice output on DVD and Blu-ray . A home video release of the second season began on August 26, 2022, which aniverse simulcasted in German-speaking countries.
