In just a few days, the anime film The Deer King by Studio Production IG will be released in German cinemas through KSM Anime. In cooperation with the Wiesbaden anime label, we are giving away 2×2 tickets for performances from September 15, 2022 in Germany and Austria in good time before the German premiere.
The Deer King celebrates its premiere on September 15, 2022 in numerous cinemas in Germany and Austria. The anime film will be presented on the big screen both in the original Japanese version with German subtitles and with German dubbing . A German trailer can be found below.

The Deer King is based on the fantasy novel by Nahoko Uehashi. The studio Production IG was responsible for the anime adaptation, which was directed by Masayuki Miyaji and Masashi Ando. Before The Deer King had its Japanese theatrical premiere on February 4, 2022, the anime film premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France in June 2021.

In a country plagued by a terrible disease, there live a man named Van and a young girl named Yuna. When a salt mine was attacked by wild dogs, the two just manage to escape. But even a simple life in the country is not granted to either of them. Physician Hossal believes that her blood could put an end to the disease. So the two find themselves in a situation far bigger than anything they ever imagined…
