This is what Detective Conan: The Crimson Love Letter is about:
Conan and his friends are visiting Nichiuri-TV in Osaka. Of course, Heiji and his girlfriend Kazuha are also there when they all watch the TV recording of a karuta duel – a popular Japanese card game. However, when a bomb threat suddenly comes in and shortly afterwards explosions actually shake the transmitter, Conan and Heiji once again have to work together to bring everyone present to safety.
Because a well-known karuta player was also murdered in Kyoto, it quickly becomes clear that the upcoming big karuta tournament is also under a dangerous star. While the two detectives and the police are investigating under high pressure, Kazuha is fighting like a lioness for entry into the grand final of the Karuta Satsuki Cup. After all, Momiji, her closest rival in the tournament, actually claims to be Heiji's fiancé!
