Crunchyroll Reveals More Details About My Hero Academia Season 5 Disc Release

A few months ago, Crunchyroll (formerly KAZÉ Anime) announced that it would soon be releasing the 25-part fifth season of My Hero Academia on disc ( we reported ). Today's newsletter revealed new details about the planned disc release.

Accordingly, the fifth season of My Hero Academia is expected to be released on DVD and Blu-ray from September 15, 2022 in a total of four volumes. As an extra, there is a slipcase for the first volume, among other things. It is not yet known when the remaining volumes will be available. In addition, a pre-order is not yet possible.

Season five of the popular superhero anime was directed by Kenji Nagasaki at the BONES studio and ran for the first time on Japanese television from March 2021 to September 2021 with a total of 25 episodes.

Currently, the anime series My Hero Academia consists of five seasons, the first four of which have already been released on Blu-ray and DVD by the anime label KAZÉ Anime. Crunchyroll also offers all five seasons and the first two films on demand – sometimes even in German. A sixth season of My Hero Academia has already been confirmed and is expected to start in the fall season of 2022.
