That's what Maken-Ki is all about! :

Takeru couldn't be happier: He's starting high school at an all-girls school that just recently opened to boys. So many pretty girls are waiting for his admiration! The best part is that he also reunites with his childhood friend Haruko, who shows him everything about the new school. Among other things, he also learns that the students here have magical and spiritual powers that they can use using mysterious objects called "Maken" – and that they constantly do so in tough duels.

Not only is Takeru totally baffled by this, he doesn't seem to have a maken himself yet… So he joins an arbitration board that oversees the fights, the "Maken-Ki"! But things aren't going so well with the girls either. Inaho, for example, claims that the two are engaged, which he doesn't want to remember at all… Kodama, who is also part of Maken-Ki, on the other hand, absolutely hates him, which makes working together not so easy. How was that carefree high school time again?
