A promo video for the Zenfone 9 has appeared online. This already reveals the design and some hardware details of the upcoming Asus flagship. Accordingly, the smartphone should have a camera with gimbal stabilization.
As Android Authority reports, the promotional video of the Asus Zenfone 9 was briefly visible on the Facebook page of a Chinese fan forum. Asus has since removed the video and several reposts that were uploaded to YouTube. However, the Slashleaks website was able to save a few screenshots describing the first data and features of the Zenfone 9.

According to the screenshots, the Zenfone 9 is quite compact. Like the Zenfone 8, the Asus smartphone is said to be just 5.9 inches in size and thus easily fits in your pocket. The current Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 from Qualcomm will apparently be used as the processor. According to the leak, the built-in AMOLED display from Samsung supports refresh rates of up to 120 Hertz. The capacity of the battery should be 4,300 mAh.
Other features of the Zenfone 9 are stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm jack, IP68 certification (dust and water resistant) and a fingerprint sensor on the side of the smartphone. The sensor is said to have a so-called ZenTouch function. If users swipe a finger over the sensor, they can scroll up or down on the screen.
Main camera with gimbal stabilization
As the screenshots show, the Asus Zenfone 9 will apparently have a dual camera. Information about the main sensor is also circulating online, as Android Authority reports. Allegedly, Sony's IMX766 sensor with 50 megapixels is used in combination with a six-axis gimbal stabilization. This stabilization method is intended to ensure smooth video recordings without shaking.
Details of the second camera on the back of the smartphone are not yet known. There is a high probability that it will be an ultra wide-angle camera.
publication and price
Neither the release date nor the price of the Asus Zenfone 9 are currently known. If Asus follows the price of the predecessor, a price of around 670 euros at market launch is conceivable.
