
Crunchyroll is showing One Piece Film: Red later this year in cinemas

The upcoming feature length adventure of the Straw Hat Pirates sails straight to our local cinemas! Crunchyroll announced that the provider has secured the license for the 15th film One Piece Film: Red and will release it in theaters later this year.
Crunchyroll is showing One Piece Film: Red in the Japanese original version with German subtitles and with German dubbing in cinemas in Germany and Austria in October 2022. More information about the theatrical release will follow shortly.
For the production of One Piece Film: Red , Gorō Taniguchi returns after more than 20 years as a director. The meanwhile 15th feature film is being made by Studio Toei Animation and is based on the manga of the same name by creator Eiichiro Oda, who is also involved in the project. Tsutomu Kuroiwa is writing the script, while Masayuki Sato is doing the character design.
The new cinema adventure is supposed to be a kind of musical and, in addition to the title song New Era (Jap. Shinjidai ) by singer Ado and producer Yasutaka Nakata, it also includes a number of other songs.

One Piece Film: Red will celebrate its world premiere in Japanese cinemas on August 6, 2022. However, a specific date for the German-speaking area is still pending.
The TV series runs on Crunchyroll every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. with German subtitles in simulcast, while a home video release of the shōnen hit in this country is made by KAZÉ Anime on DVD and Blu-ray . The original manga series by Eiichiro Oda, on the other hand, is available in German from Carlsen Manga .
