Rent-a-Girlfriend disc release details revealed

Earlier this year we already reported that KAZÉ Anime is releasing the twelve-part anime series Rent-a-Girlfriend on disc in this country. In the meantime, the Berlin-based anime label has revealed further details about the planned disc release.
As KAZÉ Anime announced in the new newsletter, Rent-a-Girlfriend is expected to be released on DVD and Blu-ray in a total of three volumes from July 21, 2022. KAZÉ also announced that the first volume will be available in stores together with a slipcase. Further details are not yet available.
The first season of Rent-A-Girlfriend comprises a total of twelve episodes, which ran from July to September 2020 on Japanese TV and in Germany in simulcast Crunchyroll . Studio TMS Entertainment, directed by Kazuomi Koga, adapted the RomCom anime based on the manga of the same name by Reiji Miyajima.
A second season is already planned for July 2022, which will again be produced in the TMS Entertainment studio. The corresponding manga has been published by Carlsen Manga in Germany since February 2020.

Kazuya is in seventh heaven, having a totally sweet girlfriend at his side. But the joy does not last long, because she breaks up with him after a short time. To heal his broken heart and not further fuel the tissue industry, he tries out the new online app that lets you temporarily hire girls as girlfriends. The date with Chizuru also goes wonderfully, she is courteous, personable, beautiful, a true angel! However, when he reads her reviews, Kazuya feels betrayed: with her lovely nature, she was only playing with his heart. So he does what a man has to do in this situation: he gives her a negative rating!
