Record-breaking: 25th "Detective Conan" film starts successfully in Japan

Detective Conan 's 25th cinema film celebrated its premiere in Japan yesterday and was able to achieve pleasing box office results on the first day. As Cinema Today reported, Detective Conan: The Halloween Bride managed to gross 24% more than the previous record-breaking film, The Steel Blue Fist on its first day.
However, the news portal did not announce an exact amount. However, after Detective Conan – The Movie (23): The Steel Blue Fist achieved around 422 million yen (≈3.3 million EUR at the time) on its first day in April 2019, it can be assumed that the current evening filler The Halloween Bride grossed about 523 million yen (≈3.8 million EUR) on its first day.
The production team of Detective Conan: The Halloween Bride is aiming for the film to be the first in the series to surpass 10 billion yen for the entire season. The 23rd film The Steel Blue Faus just missed the target with 9.37 billion yen.
Detective Conan: The Halloween Bride is the latest full-length feature film of the little master detective, produced at studio TMS Entertainment and directed by Susumu Mitsunaka. While Takahiro Okura wrote the script, Yugo Kanno provided the musical accompaniment. The 25th cinema film celebrated its premiere in Japan on April 15, 2022, before being shown on the big screen on May 31, 2022 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, both in the Japanese original version with German subtitles and with German soundtrack.

Detective Conan has been broadcast in Japan since January 1996 and currently includes more than 1,000 episodes, 24 films and various specials. Streaming provider Crunchyroll offers the first 433 episodes and 22 films on demand. A disc release will be provided by KAZÉ Anime, while ProSieben MAXX will also air new episodes this year (we reported ).
