»Food Wars!«: German trailer for the fourth season released

After postponements, Food Wars season 4 home video release begins in March 2022! at KAZÉ Anime. Appropriately, the Berlin-based anime label released a German trailer that gives a foretaste of the German soundtrack. You can find this below.

Last year, KAZÉ Anime announced the licensing of the fourth and fifth seasons, but the disc release had to be postponed to this year. Now the first volume of Food Wars is out! The Fourth Plate is expected to be available on March 17, 2022 as a limited digipak edition in a slipcase on DVD and Blu-ray, which includes the first six episodes in German and Japanese. The final second volume, containing episodes 7 through 12, will be available on April 21, 2022.

The fifth season, which was also affected by the postponement, does not start until June 16, 2022, before the second volume is available from July 21, 2022.

The 12-part fourth and 13-part fifth season of Food Wars! created again under the direction of Yoshitomo Yonetani in the studio JCStaff. The fourth season was broadcast on Japanese TV from October to December 2019 and the fifth season from April to September 2020.

The anime adaptation of Yuto Tsukuda's manga series comprises five seasons, the first three of which have already been released on DVD and Blu-ray by KAZÉ Anime. The streaming provider Crunchyroll now offers all five seasons on demand – some with German dubbing.

Based on the shounen jump manga of the same name by Yuuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki, Food Wars follows Yukihira Soma, a young chef who hopes to surpass his father's culinary skills. One day, however, he closes the family restaurant to practice his skills in Europe and puts Sōma in an elite cooking school. The standards of this school are so high that only ten percent of its students graduate. Will Sōma be able to hone his talent here or will he burn his fingers at the stove?
