Today the Realme 8 Pro was presented , a mid-range smartphone that had many in suspense until it finally ended up, to a certain extent, disappointing with its features.
As an alternative, the Redmi Note 10 Pro is not only more powerful and advanced in many of its features, but it also has up to 10 different specifications that make it more advanced than the Realme 8 Pro.
If after the launch of the Realme 8 Pro you were doubting which smartphone to buy, then we will show you how the Redmi Note 10 Pro, with a very similar price, is much higher . We cannot deny that the Realme device has certain interesting features, but as a whole Xiaomi has done a better job for the mid-range:
Redmi Note 10 Pro vs Realme 8 Pro: performance and display
To get into the main differences of the Redmi Note 10 Pro versus the Realme 8 Pro we will start with the performance. Although the processors of both are very similar, the GPU of the Snapdragon 732G of the Xiaomi smartphone surpasses in speed (0.95GHz vs 0.70GHz) that of the Snapdragon 720G of the Realme 8 Pro.
This will make the Redmi Note 10 Pro behave better in games than the Realme 8 Pro. And be careful, it will not only do it for performance, but for the gaming experience since the screen of the Xiaomi mobile device reaches 120Hz , while the Realme's does not exceed 60Hz.
In addition, the Redmi Note 10 Pro has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on its screen, while Realme does not specify what protection the screen of its new mid-range carries. To this is added the 1,200 nits of maximum brightness of the Xiaomi device and its 360º ambient light sensor compared to the 1,000 nits of the Realme 8 Pro and the absence of said sensor.
To all this we must add that the Redmi Note 10 Pro has UFS 2.2 storage , a small difference that although in practice we may not notice, it is superior to the UFS 2.1 storage of the Realme 8 Pro.
Battery, camera and other features
Although, with the differences that we have seen, the Redmi Note 10 Pro is positioned as a more interesting smartphone than the Realme 8 Pro, we still have to see other differentiating characteristics in favor of Xiaomi's mid-range.
For its part, although the Realme 8 Pro has a higher fast charge (50W), its 4,500mAh battery is much lower than that of the Redmi Note 10 Pro, which reaches 5,020mAh . Of course, in the Xiaomi smartphone its fast charge is 33W front.
In addition, the Redmi Note 10 Pro has a higher resolution macro camera, exactly 5MP compared to the 2MP sensor of the Realme 8 Pro. Likewise, the Xiaomi device has Bluetooth 5.1 , while the Realme remains in the Bluetooth version 5.0.
Finally, it is worth highlighting two characteristics that the Redmi Note 10 Pro presents and we do not find in the Realme mid-range: stereo speakers and also, perhaps more importantly, IP53 certification against splashes of water and the entry of dust.
