Before buying the Redmi Note 10 you should know this limitation that hides
Starting today, the Redmi Note 10 is available for purchase on Mi.com and Amazon . Even so, before you go into your purchase we recommend you read the following article where we detail one of the limitations that you will find in the new Xiaomi mid-range.
As many of you know, Xiaomi has made the leap, adding AMOLED screens in its mid-range. In this case, the Redmi Note 10 incorporates a 120Hz AMOLED panel of the most interesting, but limited in one of the MIUI functionalities that takes advantage of this technology.
Specifically, we are talking about the Always on Display mode, a functionality only available in those Xiaomi, Redmi and / or POCO with AMOLED screen, which for some strange reason is limited in the Redmi Note 10 preventing us from using it beyond a specific time .
The Redmi Note 10 will not let you use the Always on Display as long as you want
As explained in Mi Community , the Redmi Note 10 has a time limitation preventing the Always on Display mode from being active beyond 10 seconds . As we can see in the following image, we can only exceed this time if we activate the battery saving mode:
Even so, there is the possibility of skipping this restriction although the truth is that if Xiaomi has implemented it in the Redmi Note 10 it is for something. To do this, it will be enough to carry out the following steps:
- Activate the developer options as we tell you in this guide .
- Go to Settings> Additional Settings> Developer Options
- Once inside, we will deactivate the option " MIUI Optimization ".
In summary, Xiaomi has seen fit to create this limitation in the Redmi Note 10. Despite the fact that it has a fairly large battery, no less than 5,000mAh , its battery seems to suffer significantly after leaving the Always on Display mode active.
We will keep you informed about it in the face of any possible update to disable this restriction on the Redmi Note 10.
