How to proceed depends on the type of installation of your Office version. There is the "Click-to-Run" technology on which Microsoft 365 (or Office 365) and most versions from Office 2013 onwards are based. And there is Windows Installer Technology (MSI) for volume licensing editions of older versions of Office 2016 like Microsoft Office Professional Plus and Microsoft Office Standard.
With a "Click-to-Run" version, select "How would you like to repair your Office programs?" select the option "Online Repair> Repair". There is also a "Quick Fix" option which only detects and replaces damaged files. "Repair" is more careful.
For an MSI-based version, select the option "Repair" under "Change installation" and confirm your choice with "Next".
Then follow the instructions on the screen.
