5 tablets for homeschooling that children can use to learn digitally

Homeschooling is the order of the day – but without the right technology, learning in your own four walls is difficult. We have therefore put together five recommended tablets that are ideal for homeschooling and that support you in everyday life.

Lenovo Tab M7 TB-7305F

With a price of well under 100 euros, the Lenovo model is clearly an entry-level tablet – but it serves its purpose for homeschooling. With a 7-inch screen diagonal, the display is tight – the bigger the better for homeschooling – but in terms of performance it is completely sufficient.

The main memory is only 1 GB RAM and the internal memory 16 GB, but since homeschooling is primarily about watching videos, that's enough. The tablet can also be used to complete simple tasks. Unfortunately, there is no great performance in this price range.

Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet with Alexa

Fire tablets have always been known for their good price-performance ratio – the Fire HD 10 is no exception. You can enjoy content on the large 10-inch screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. Inside, an octa-core processor with 2 GB of RAM works, so the current model works around 30 percent faster than its predecessor – ideal for homeschooling.

The voice assistant Alexa is also on board: You can use the service to quickly check appointments or ask questions. The battery power is a maximum of 12 hours, enough to get through the school day without any problems. The only drawback: The app selection is not quite as large as in the Google Play Store, as Amazon controls the range of apps. Nevertheless, you can choose from more than 500,000 applications. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, the Fire HD 10 is a decent tablet.

The Samsung Tab A7 has a brilliant screen with a 10.4 inch diagonal and a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels. Above all, however, the tablet has a strong processor, which, in combination with 3 GB of RAM, guarantees a smooth work pace at all times. The internal memory is also sufficiently generous with 32 GB, but can easily be expanded by 1 TB using a memory card. The battery life is also decent, so that a homeschooling day can be easily managed on one charge. A perfect tablet for learning at home, but a bit more expensive than an entry-level tablet.

At 10.4 inches, the MediaPad M5 Lite from Huawei is also pleasantly large and therefore perfect for homeschooling. Inside, the in-house Kirin 659 does its job, which is supported by 4 GB of RAM – sufficient performance is therefore ensured. The internal storage capacity is just as generous at 64 GB. The tablet can be secured with a fingerprint sensor, and four speakers from Harman / Kardon ensure good sound.

The Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab has a large 10.1-inch screen that displays content in sharp Full HD resolution. With a Snapdragon 439, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB memory, the device offers enough power reserves, and the tablet has a large battery with 7,000 mAh – so you can get through the day with the Lenovo model without any problems.

Clever: Thanks to the integrated stand, you can put the tablet on a table in next to no time and use it even better without having to hold it in your hands the whole time. Two decent speakers also guarantee decent and powerful sound. Ideal for homeschool.
