How to import XML configuration profiles in new versions of GCam
One of the questions that we receive the most on a daily basis is related to how to import configuration profiles stored in xml format in the GCam application that many of you have downloaded to your Xiaomi.
For those of you who do not know what it is about, these files with an .xml extension are nothing more than a backup of the various settings and configurations of the Google Camera application . Thanks to these, we can establish the most appropriate parameters for our Xiaomi device and thus achieve better results.
In itself, each .xml that the developers offer us has been made specifically for a specific device, taking into account its photographic hardware . That is why in addition to installing the GCam according to our Xiaomi device, it is advisable to import the corresponding XML.
How to import xml profiles in GCam 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 …
Although in the previous versions of GCam we only had to copy the xml configuration profiles in the path / GCam / Configs , now with the new versions 7.0 onwards , that is, 7.1, 7.2 … the process is different.
Now, from these new versions of GCam, the mask that we will have to create and in which we will host the XML profiles will be / GCam / Configs7 . In case you don't have it created, you can do it with MIUI's own file manager.
After having copied the XML profile in the "Configs7" folder, we will only have to open Google Camera (GCam) and double-click on any area that is free between the shutter and the other elements.
Next, the dialog box will appear where we will choose our profile to import and later we will click on UPDATE to apply it and import it into our installed GCam.
