Restart or reset Fitbit Charge 3: Here's how

With a fitness tracker like the Fitbit Charge 3, you always have an overview of your everyday activities. It's just stupid if the wearable hangs up or no longer synchronizes with the smartphone. A restart is the obvious solution. If that doesn't help, you can reset your Fitbit Charge 3 to factory settings. The following article explains both ways.

Fitbit Charge 3 not responding – what now?

Like any device that works with software, the Fitbit Charge 3 also has to struggle with total failures and bugs from time to time. "My Charge 3 is no longer syncing" is one of the most frequent calls for help in the Fitbit forum. With other users, the tracker can suddenly no longer be operated properly or the screen remains completely black. Turn on the Fitbit Charge 3? Not possible anymore.

In such cases, it is advisable to restart the device first.

Fitbit Charge 3: restart on the wrist or via charger

  3. Release the button. If a smiley appears and the tracker vibrates, the restart was successful.

If nothing works: reset Fitbit Charge 3

If the problems do not go away after the restart, you can reset the tracker to the factory settings. But be careful: In contrast to a restart, in which the activity data is retained on the device, all saved data is deleted when the device is reset. After resetting you will have to set up your Charge 3 again . Resetting should therefore be the ultimate troubleshooting method.

By the way : The reset is also recommended if you want to sell your tracker or give it to someone else.

And this is how it works: To delete all user data, activate the display of your tracker and swipe left on the start screen. Select "Settings" in the menu. Then tap on the sub-item "General" and select "Delete user data". After the reset, the tracker must be set up again.
