A few days ago we were talking about the new Back Tap functionality that Xiaomi plans to integrate into its smartphones. A most useful functionality that will integrate iOS 14 and Android 11 but that we can already test on our Xiaomi thanks to a simple application .
In detail, the Back Tap functionality allows us to perform certain tasks on our smartphone just by double-tapping on the back . In this way we can create screenshots or even invoke the voice assistant in a much faster and easier way.
Best of all, we can already test this functionality on our Xiaomi thanks to a simple app developed by XDA-Developers [email protected] . Just by installing it and applying the correct permissions, we can perform various functions by just double-tapping the back of our smartphone.
How to test the Back Tap function on our Xiaomi
To test the Back Tap function on our Xiaomi we will have to download the Tap Tap application from XDA-Developers . This is still in alpha phase although the truth is that it works really well the time we have been using it.
After its installation we will have to apply the required accessibility permissions. To do this, simply click on " Accessibility Service is enabled " and go to the option " More download services ". Once inside we will activate the permissions for the Tap app, Tap.
After that, the Back Tap functionality will already be running on our Xiaomi. Even so, we can configure what action to take from the " Gesture " option or even determine if it will be active with the screen off from the " Gates " option.
In short, a most interesting application that brings us closer to the Back Tap functionality that we will not only see in Android 11 and iOS 14, but others in MIUI 12 in the not too distant future . Do not forget to comment that you have found this application.
