With the arrival of smartphones over 6 inches, using both hands to interact with its interface has become practically a necessity. A limitation on certain occasions, which Xiaomi has wanted to eliminate thanks to a new mode introduced in MIUI 12 .
And it seems that, as they tell us from MyDrivers , Xiaomi has introduced a new one-handed mode in the last beta of MIUI 12. From this new option we can reduce the size of the interface itself, as if from a Smaller smartphone in question.
To do this, this new one-handed mode of MIUI 12 allows us to adjust various screen sizes ranging from 3.5 inches , through 4.0 inches , up to 4.5 inches . Upon activation, MIUI 12 will be displayed in one of the corners, with the chosen size.
Only compatible with some Xiaomi devices
As has happened with the Super Wallpapers or the floating windows of MIUI 12 , this new one-handed mode will only be available on certain devices. Among them we find:

- Xiaomi Mi 10
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition
- Xiaomi Mi 9
- Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition
- Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G
- Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition
- Redmi K30 Pro (POCO F2 Pro)
- Redmi K30 5G
- Redmi K30 4G
- Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition
- Redmi K20 Pro (Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro)
- Redmi K20 (Xiaomi Mi 9T)
As seen, this new option will only be available in the most powerful terminals of the brand , these being high and medium-high range. As we said, at the moment it is only in the beta of MIUI 12, so it will take time to reach the Global version of it.
