Although in the international market we continue to await the arrival of MIUI 12 , in China it has already been distributing for some time. A first approach to the novelties of Xiaomi's latest customization layer that will take longer than expected to reach certain devices .

This has been communicated by the firm through its official community , adding that due to stability problems the Redmi Note 7 will see its update to MIUI 12 delayed . A delay aimed at the beta version of the Chinese ROM but that will probably also affect the Global version.

The same happens with the Redmi Note 8 , one of the best-selling devices of the past year that unfortunately, although in order to improve the arrival of Android 10 to this, it will see its update to MIUI 12 stopped.

A delay in the Chinese ROM that could affect the arrival of MIUI 12 Global

As we said, in both cases it is a delay of the beta update to MIUI 12 for the Chinese ROM. This, although it does not affect us directly, if it is likely to end up affecting the launch of MIUI 12 Global for the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 8.

Beyond these two devices, other terminals such as the Xiaomi Mi 9 , Mi 10 , Mi 10 Pro or Mi 10 Lite have also received modifications in their update schedule to MIUI 12. Still, in the case of these, as they already have MIUI 12 in a more advanced state, its impact will not be as pronounced.

For the moment we will only have to wait and see if this delay due to stability problems in the case of the Redmi Note 7 or due to the arrival of Android 10 in the Redmi Note 8 ends up being resolved before it ends up being noticed in the update of these but in their respective Global and European versions.
