In addition to its renewed non-linear animation system, Xiaomi has improved MIUI 12's multitasking . As a great novelty, the new version of MIUI will integrate a floating window system that unfortunately will not be available on all Xiaomi and Redmi devices.
This new floating window system allows us, as a great new feature in MIUI 12, to convert any application into a floating window . With this, we managed to be able to use two apps completely independently.
Undoubtedly, a long-awaited functionality, which improves the MIUI 12 multitasking system, for example by allowing us to view an application in question, while taking notes in another app that we have installed on our Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO mobile device.
MIUI 12 floating window system will not be available to everyone
As has happened with the Super Wallapers that in principle will not be available for all devices, the new floating window system continues on the same path . And, if we visit the MIUI official website, we can see how this novelty will only be available to:
- Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Lite, Mi 9, Mi 9T Pro, Mi Note 10, Mi 9 SE, Mi 9 Lite, Mi 8, Mi Mix 3, Mi 8 Pro, Mi Mix 2S, Mi Max 3, Mi 8 Lite, Mi 8 SE
- Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Redmi 7
- POCO F2 Pro, POCo X2, POCO F1, POCOPHONE F1
As we can see, although the list may seem extensive, there are really many devices missing. Without going any further, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G or the Redmi Note 8T seem to be without the new MIUI 12 floating window system.
From what you can see, a large number of functionalities will only be available on those devices that have Android 10 . Therefore, those who still stay with Android 9 will be left without receiving these news from MIUI 12.
