One more day and in order to stop the progress of the worrying coronavirus, Xiaomi surprises us with a new product in its crowdfunding platform, Youpin . This time it is a new sterilizer that with just water and salt is capable of eliminating 99.9% of the bacteria, viruses and germs that we can find in our home.

Unlike previous sterilizers using ultraviolet light, this new product takes advantage of the disinfectant power of sodium hypochlorite to eliminate any trace of coronavirus, other viruses or bacteria that can be found in virtually any object in our home.

This novel disinfectant / sterilizer in the form of a water filter is capable of converting common salt and water into sodium hypochlorite by electrolysis . After this, we will only have to spray the mixture on our clothes or any other object to eliminate, as indicated by the manufacturer, up to 99.9% of the bacteria and viruses that we can find in our home and that are harmful to our health .

In this way, we avoid the use of UV lamps that not only need more time to disinfect or sterilize an area of our home, but are also harmful to our eye health if we have direct contact with its generated ultraviolet light.

In detail, we are faced with a product with dimensions of 180x105x220mm and weighing only 520 grams . For its operation it will be enough to introduce half a liter of water and 2 grams of common table salt inside it and then wait 3 minutes until by means of electrolysis sodium hypochlorite is generated.
