Asus ROG Zephyrus S: The first 300 Hz gaming laptop is here

With a new model of the Asus ROG Zephyrus S GX701GXR, the first gaming notebook with a 300 Hz display will be available in the next few days. In fact, there are no monitors, TVs or other displays with such a high refresh rate.
240 Hertz is far from over – the Taiwanese computer manufacturer Asus proves this with a new copy of the ROG Zephyrus S. The laptop has the world's first 300 Hz display. To be able to send the appropriate 300 frames per second to the screen, the Intel Core i7-9750H with 32 GB of RAM and an Nvidia RTX 2080 Max-Q are installed. Anyone who has ever tried to send "only" 240 FPS to the screen also suspects that 300 pictures will currently only be possible with old games like "Counter Strike".
Color-fast, responsive display
The innovative laptop is aimed specifically at competitive players who want to have the most fluid presentation possible. The "NanoEdge" thin-bezel display has a 3-millisecond response time and is also Pantone-certified for true-color calibration. Given the powerful technology, the notebook is relatively slim and lightweight: So the 17-inch device is only 18.7 millimeters high and 2.6 kilograms.
3,400 euros including accessories package
It will be interesting to wait for the first tests to see if 300 Hertz really does have an advantage over 240 Hertz. The high-end notebook will be released in the next few days for 3,400 euros – a typical early adopter price so. After all, there is also an ROG backpack, a ROG Cerberus gaming headset, a ROG Gladius II gaming mouse and an external webcam.
Caution: The type designation " GX701GXR" does not show the 300 Hz display. Here, a look at the exact technical data is necessary.
