
Xiaomi cuts its distance with Apple in this first quarter of the year, against the continued growth of Oppo and Vivo
IDC , one of the most prestigious market analysis companies, has published new reports qualifying the number of sales of mobile devices corresponding to the first quarter of this year. A 2019, which as reported by IDC have sold a total of 310.8 million smartphones worldwide , representing a 6.6% less in relation to the same period of time in the past 2018 .
As expected, the undisputed leader is still Samsung , a Korean company that sold 71.9 million units . Even so, this high figure represents 8.1% less than what it sold in the first quarter of last year.
Huawei, for its part, ranks as the second company that more smartphones have managed to sell during this first quarter, representing a spectacular growth of nothing more and nothing less than 50.3% , that is, during these first three months of 2019 has sold a total of 59.1 million units .
Closing the TOP three we find the American company Apple , who with a total of 36.4 million units sold worldwide has seen its percentage of sales decreased by 30.2% , standing at only 11 million units of more sold than the total sold by Xiaomi .
Still, Xiaomi has seen its sales volume of this 2019 has fallen by 10.2% , selling a total of 25 million units , compared to 27.8 million units sold in the same period last year. .
The worst news for Xiaomi is given by the continued growth of other Asian brands such as Oppo and Vivo , achieving an increase in sales of around 6% and 24% respectively.
