Ever want to toss a dimmer on a floor/table lamp but when you got to Bed Bath and Boring they were charging $20+ for a plug in dimmer? I have one word for that... REDONCULOUS!  In the spirit of "Tim the Tool Man Taylor" (a source of my inspiration) haha, I say lets build one with "More Power"! <insert grunts>....

WIth this weekends release of the iPad 2 there was bound to be a flood of iPad 1's for sale, iPad 2's for sale at rip off prices, and well then there was this one.

Lets hop in the "way back machine" and make a stop in 2004.  I was still firmly a "pc guy" *yuck right?, but I was starting to yurn for "something different".  This would be my second Mac Mod, I modded a Powermac Quicksilver 733 to have 2 optical drives (one being a 3rd party cd-r), but I needed some $$ and it really didn't catch my attention so I sold it.  eBay had become a arabian black market of sorts with a wealth of apple parts, and I thought hey why not get a G4 logicboard, and stuff it in a standard pc case?  Pics after the jump!

I know the pre-unibody macbook is "old school" now but you used to be able to get them in black or white, and with the tendancy of mac users to keep them longer here is your chance to customize it and be a bit less like "everyone" else at your favorite coffee shop.

This started out as a desire to customize the black mabook going to my sister  (who is named Amanda; hence "Panda (or the black/white thing)"
